2025 is the 10th anniversary of 91Ways. We are planning a year-long programme of events to drive forward our dual mission of building understanding between communities and strengthening communities challenged by food insecurity.
Job Title: Project Coordinator

Reports to: Founder
Type Of Employment: 4 days a week (up to 20 hours) flexible with the possibility of more hours
Job Description
91ways has a programme of regular events throughout the year including regular fund-raising supper clubs which provide a platform for community cooks to share their cultural and personal stories through their recipes as well as events and classes bringing groups together to learn to cook, connect and build understanding. This will be augmented by a programme for our 10th anniversary.
The successful applicant will have experience in writing fundraising bids and in setting up and running events.
Fundraising is critical to the success and ability to thrive for our charity so an understanding of business acumen is required.
To deliver our mission, a good knowledge of food education and food equality is essential as is having connections with local food networks and the ability to source good food. Ideally they will have strong existing ties to some/all of the following areas: Stockwood, Bedminster, St Judes, Hartciffe, St Pauls and Southmead.
Working under the direction of the Founder and alongside other members of the team you will provide support for the charity’s events programme and other key fundraising campaigns.
The successful applicant must have a car and a valid driver’s licence, a working laptop and ability to make calls. Working days and hours are flexible.
Role specifications:
To support the 10th year anniversary programme of events.
To design and implement activities and projects for the above
To plan an annual diary of healthy eating classes and supper clubs reaching out and identifying community cooks
To plan, promote and smoothly execute each event ensuring fundraising targets are met
To manage relationships with venues and key stakeholders
To manage the volunteers group
Connecting with individuals, organisations and community groups across Bristol and the South West, to develop relationships to create new opportunities for our communities to work with 91 ways
To design and implement activities and projects within the community which recognise the needs of specific groups
Maintain existing relationships and help deliver our current programme of activities
To put the project findings together into a document that can be shared with other organisations and policy makers
To strengthen 91 Ways connections to the communities in Stockwood, Bedminster, St Judes, St Pauls and Southmead
Maintain project planning documents including any documents needed for funding reporting. Monitor effectiveness of project and people reached.
Person Specification-
Essential
Experience of working with diverse communities
Understanding of food equality and sustainability
Experience of running events
Fundraising experience
Excellent organisational and planning skills
Must be able to work some weekends and evenings
Social media skills
Self motivated with strong time management skills
Strong written communication skills
Confident and friendly verbal communicator, good at forging relationships and putting people at ease
Confident with spreadsheets
Research skills
Positive can-do attitude
Must have own car and clean drivers licence

Experience of project management including monitoring and analysis
Experience of working with charities and/or public sector
Stakeholder management and development skills
