91 Ways Events and Social Media Coordinator- Maternity Cover
91 Ways is a community focused social enterprise, working with the 91 language communities of Bristol to celebrate our diversity, crossing divides and breaking down barriers using the power of food, bringing us together through food and the sharing of stories.
We act as a platform for community cooks to share their food at fundraising events, as well as providing cooking courses and food events in low income and marginalised areas of Bristol.

Job Description
We are looking to appoint someone, based in or close to Bristol, for a 15 hours a week role for 6 months maternity cover to begin with. Working days and hours are flexible. The pay is £15 per hour on a freelance basis. You will need a working laptop and ability to make calls.
We are looking for someone who has a love for and skills in social media and experience in setting up and running events and projects.
Knowledge of suitable venues across the city is desired. Ideally you will have existing ties to some of the following areas: Lawrence Hill, Bedminster, St Judes, St Pauls and Southmead, but this is not essential.
This role will be varied as we’d like you to work across our different projects.
An outline of what that may entail.
- Planning, composing and scheduling social media posts on a regular basis
- Creating newsletters and communications to supporters and volunteers
Assisting with admin whenever necessary
Planning supper clubs reaching out and identifying community cooks
To help plan, promote and smoothly execute each event ensuring fundraising targets are met
Connecting with individuals, organisations and community groups across Bristol and the South West, to develop and maintain relationships to create new opportunities for our communities to work with 91 ways
To fundraise through events/social media/grant applications in order to carry out projects within our communities focussing on healthy food provision
To co-design and implement activities and projects within the community which recognise the needs of specific groups
Maintaining project planning documents including any documents needed for funding reporting. Monitoring effectiveness of projects and people reached.

A passion for social media
Experience of running events
Experience of working with diverse communities
Excellent organisational and planning skills
Self motivated with strong time management skills
Strong written communication skills
Confident and friendly verbal communicator, good at forging relationships and putting people at ease
Confident with spreadsheets
Positive can-do attitude
Desired

Experience of project management including monitoring and analysis
Experience of working with charities and/or public sector
Stakeholder management and development skills
Own vehicle and clean driving license
